This is the third published works by author Sean E Robinson and the second collection of short stories.

Ordinary Stories has been written at random intervals, between 2018 - 2022. Some published previously online and one of them has featured, as an audio version, for the Litro Lab Podcast.

As is common with speculative fiction, these story’s main linking theme is a cynical outlook on all the things that are supposed to improve the lives of human race in the future. AI, robots, space travel, medicines are all on the table to criticise. The problem isn’t the inventions but the people who use them. Other themes are human based for that reason, at the end of the day, no matter the advances humans are all guilty of greed, dishonesty and a damaging sense of hope. Even though this all sounds serious, the tone of the stories will draw a smile. People should laugh at their failings as human beings because they will always be this way so finding the funny side might be healthiest way to deal with everyone’s bleak futures.
